Where will my report be sent?

Any reports requested will be sent to the email you provided when the request was submitted on privacy.dish.com.

Why have I not yet received a report?

It may take up to 90 days to receive a report after it has been requested. If we could not find any data pursuant under CCPA law that matched the information you provided, you will receive an email notifying you that no match was found.

How will I receive the report I requested?

If information was matched to your request, you will receive two separate emails that will allow you to (1) download and (2) unzip the report. One email will contain a link to download the report and another email will contain a password to access the report. It may take up to 90 days to receive both emails.

How long will I have to view the report?

Once you have received the emails to download and unencrypt the report, you will have 7 days to download the 7z file and enter the password to unencrypt the report. The link to download the report will not be accessible after 7 days. If you download and unencrypt the report within 7 days, the unencrypted report will be accessible to you for as long as you keep the report.

Why can’t I download my report?

Once you’ve received the link provided in the report email we send, you have 7 days to download your report. For your security, the report will no longer be available to download after 7 days from when the link was provided.

How do I download and unencrypt the report?

Follow the instructions below:

Windows


  • If not already installed on your computer, download the free software 7-Zip which will be used to unzip the report. (Please note that you download any third-party software at your own risk and subject to their terms and conditions.)
  • Download the 7z file by clicking on the link received in your report email.
    • The 7z file name should begin with “cpa-requestid” where the requestid is the id which was provided on privacy.dish.com when you submitted the request
  • Open the 7z file
    • Chrome: Click the downloaded 7z file located at the bottom of your browser: zipsaveas
    • Edge/IE: Click “Open”: zipopen
  • The 7-Zip app will automatically open. Double click one of the files to open it extracting
  • When prompted, enter the password provided in the second email you received zipselect
  • After entering the password, you should be able to open other files without needing to supply the password again unless you close out of the 7z file.
    • Use the Extract option in the 7-Zip app to prevent the need to supply the password each time you open the 7z file. This will unencrypt the 7z file and store it in a location of your choosing. zipselect

  • If not already installed on your computer, download the free software Keka which will be used to unzip the report. (Please note that you download any third-party software at your own risk and subject to their terms and conditions.)
  • Download the 7z file by clicking on the link received in your report email.
    • The 7z file name should begin with “cpa-requestid” where the requestid is the id which was provided on privacy.dish.com when you submitted the request.
  • Open the 7z file
